Danny Jack Foster “Dan the Dancing Man” passed away peacefully on October 2, 2020 at the age of 70 in Cottonwood, Arizona, after an 8 month battle with liver cancer. Danny was born to Frank and Opal Foster in Gorman, Texas. He graduated from Palmdale High School in California. In 1971, Danny enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked in Light Weapons Infantry at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, which he hated the cold weather. He stayed in the US Army Reserves until 1977. He then went back to the Antelope Valley and worked at Antelope Valley Nissan in the parts department. While living in Lancaster, California. He could be found riding his motorcycle, playing baseball or bowling in his spear time. He made many friends, always had a smile on his face. In the late 1990’s he moved to Cottonwood, Arizona. Worked in the parts department for Larry Green Chevrolet and Ford before retiring. His hobbies in the Cottonwood, Jerome and Prescott area were going out dancing. Meeting many people, always with a caring smile. Danny would do anything for anyone, even though they didn’t ask. He is preceded in death by his father Frank Foster and mother Opal Messer and younger brother Kevin Foster. He is served by his sister Judith Mccaslin of Pensacola, Florida and brother Ronald Foster of Quartz Hill, California. Plus multiple nieces and nephews that loved him. Most important are his close friends that loved him dearly, Kathy Allen, Crystal Bryan, Leslie Wager, Anne Vozza and all of his dancing partners in the area. The bands that he loved to go dance too and help them out. The Well Dressed Wolves, he would go dance to their venue’s double on weekends. Many bands in Arizona knew he would be the first one on the dance floor to get the party started.
