Mr. Dannie P. Taylor, 56, of Elkhart, was discovered passed away from an apparent sudden illness at his home at 6:12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013. July 22, 1957 – Aug. 24, 2013. He was born in Charleston, S.C., to the late Ivan P. and Bertha J. (West) Taylor and married Eda Santiago on July 2, 1983, in Elkhart. She passed away on Jan. 24 of this year.
Surviving are daughters Danielle (Terry Lindsey) Taylor of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Erika (Gerry) Mosqueda of Danbury, Texas; brothers Mel (Gloria) Carl and Davy (Debbie) Taylor, all of Elkhart; sisters Susan Kiefer of Edwardsburg, Freida (Angel) Ramos of North Prince George, Va., Shelia Robinson of Decherd, Tenn., and Melanie Taylor of Clover, S.C.; grandsons Aaden and Tyler Mosqueda of Danbury; granddaughter Carly Ann Lindsey of Edwardsburg; grandmother Benita Santiago of Elkhart; several nieces and nephews; and his nine dogs, who still reside at home.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eda.
