Mr. Harris was born December 13, 1944 in Sampson county to the late Isham Alvin Harris and Gladys King. Dannie worked for years driving Trucks for FCX Company in Newton Grove.
He was preceded in death by Two brothers: Alvin, Roy and Melvin, One Sister: Julia Raynor.
Three daughters survive Dannie: Tonya Romero of Clinton, Sylvia Ammons of Clinton, and Mary Smith of Clinton. Three Sons: Anthony Thornton of Clinton, Bobby Thornton of Clinton, and Charles Thomas Smith of Hickory, NC. One Sister in Law: Mae Harris of Roseboro. (9) Grandchildren, (3) Great-grandchildren.
