Daniel P. Holl, 78, of Newnan, formerly of Atlanta died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his home. He was born May 7, 1932, in Augusta, GA to the late Eugene Rogers Holl & Mildred Elizabeth Storey Holl.
In addition to his parents, his wife of 57 years, Eudora Houston Holl, preceded him in death on December 5, 2010. Dan attended Mercer University and graduated from Georgia State and was a Certified Public Accountant in Atlanta for over 40 years.
He was active in the communities he lived and while living in Atlanta he was a member of: Clairmont Hills Baptist Church for over 20 years, Druid Hills Golf Club for over 30 years. When retiring to Newnan in 1990 he became a member of the Newnan Presbyterian Church, White Oak Golden K Kiwanis Club, and Georgia Cattleman’s Association.
In retirement, he became a Master Gardener and a gentleman farmer. He enjoyed the outdoors which was evidenced in his hobbies of Quail hunting, fishing, horses, and field trials.
Survivors include children, Lesia Holl Lee of Augusta, Dan Holl, Jr. of Newnan, Elayne Holl Taylor of Newnan; grandchildren, Kristen Lee Henson, Joshua Lee, Daniel R. Holl, Matthew Holl, Lane Holl, Jayson Taylor, and Rebekah Taylor.
