Our deeply loved son, brother, and uncle has joined his special place in the universe and heavens. May he enjoy everything he loved about the universe and have all the adventures of his dreams.
We are grateful Daniel found love and happiness in his many accomplishments as he achieved the high goals he set for himself and his life. He is a “Five Star” Captain at any and all of his endeavors.
A brilliant and self-taught genius of computer technology and science, Daniel will never stop learning and sharing his knowledge with family and friends. Although his knowledge was sometimes beyond what we could understand he never gave up on trying to teach us. He is teaching us now how to better ourselves each and every day. His intelligence and experience is beyond his years and his lifetime.
Daniel is a strong man with very gentle, sensitive soul and generous spirit. He is a caring person and helped those in need with his resources.
Daniel was born and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and loved nature and the rain. He was a believer in caring for this fragile planet and encouraged others to care for it as well. Some of Daniel’s favorite places in New Mexico are The Very Large Array and the Sandia Peak Tramway, the Sandia mountains and many of the cities local parks.
Daniel’s love and passion for the universe, space travel, computers and technology was infectious for us all. We share in Daylin Q’s happiness and humor in enjoying Star Trek, The Matrix and The Martian. Daniel is a tremendous movie fan and shared his “Five Star” recommendations and they never disappoint. For Daniel, watching movies in IMAX was truly the best way to enjoy them.
Daylin Q shared his many favorite quotes and thoughts with us always challenging us to be better, kinder and smarter but to also have a sense of humor. Daniel has a one of kind smile.
He will always be in the warmth and love of his mother, Gertrude Madrid; sisters: Barbara Madrid, Priscilla Martinez, Florence Umezaki and spouse Kentaro Umezaki; brother and spouse Tino Madrid and Liz Monia de Madrid ; nieces and nephews: Joe Madrid, Abby Madrid, Kenny Padilla, Alicia Padilla, and Tina Kotlisky and family.
We are privileged and honored to have Daniel’s love and brilliance. He is our shining star and will always be cherished and shine on us and in our lives.
