Daniel John Lidvall, age 29, died unexpectedly on September 25, 2021. Daniel is part of a large, loving extended family, who are devastated by his sudden absence. Dan put his heart and soul into living an “eggcellent” life. (Dan’s favorite word!)
Dan graduated from Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, CO and was active in many programs in the Denver area including Stepping Stone Support Center, NSCD (National Sports Center for the Disabled), Special Olympics and All-Stars Club.
“Dan the Man” was passionate about sports, both as a spectator and a participant. He loved playing golf with his Lakewood Lynx team at Fox Hollow. His nickname was “LeBron” on his Green Mountain Rams Unified Basketball team, and he loved to shred on his snowboard in Winter Park with his NSCD instructors, brother and sister. When a fellow teammate or competitor needed encouragement, Daniel was the first to offer support.
Music was a huge part of Daniel’s life.
Daniel thrived in front of an audience, usually ending performances with a Tim Tebow pose. He practiced all year for the Stepping Stone Talent Show. Dan and his buddy brought the house down with The Blues Brother rendition of “Soul Man” and most recently “Sweet Caroline”. He endlessly quoted movie lines from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” or Jim Carrey’s “The Grinch” and cracked himself up the most.
Daniel is survived by his father David Lidvall, his mother Bethany Vriesman, and step-father John Hill. He is also survived by older brothers, Ben and Jake, and younger sister Becca, as well as step siblings, Ali, Jacqui (Brian), and Joe (Kaitlyn). He adored his many cousins, aunts and uncles, and dear grandmother, Elaine Vriesman. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Dar Vriesman and Jack and Darlene Lidvall.
