Daniel Eugene Arthur, 57, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born July 15, 1961, in Jacksonville, the son of Donald Eugene and Lela Anne Perry Arthur. He married Cheryl Lynn Beckerman on Aug. 10, 1985, in Carbondale, CO, and she survives.
He is also survived by his mother of Jacksonville; two sons, Spencer Arthur and Perry Arthur, both of Fort Collins, CO; one brother, Jeffrey Arthur of Gillette, WY; and his maternal grandmother, Cora Perry of South Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandfather, Dan Perry; and paternal grandparents Eugene and Pearl Arthur.
Mr. Arthur was a 1979 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He worked as a medical imaging specialist in many locations, including Chilton, WI, Machias, ME, Nevada, Alma, WA, San Diego, CA, Gillette, WY, Couer d’Alene, ID, as well as Hillsboro, Pana, Staunton, Greenville and Jacksonville in Illinois. He was a member of American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Dan enjoyed traveling, gardening, photography, kayaking, and riding snow mobiles and 4-wheelers.
