Daniel Drew Schut, 60, passed away May 12, 2019. A lifelong resident of Kalamazoo area, Dan was a loving father, husband, and friend, a business leader who dedicated countless hours to civic organizations through the years, and his relentless pursuit of having a good time.

Born July 29, 1958, to Dr. Al and Evelyn Schut, Dan graduated from Gull Lake High School and Calvin College. He was a founding principal of PPS&V Asset Management Consultants and served as a trusted financial advisor there since 1991. He was a long-standing member of the Rotary Club of Kalamazoo, serving as chair of various committees. He was equally committed to First Presbyterian Church, and as a lifelong member, he supported the work of the church through numerous projects.

Dan will be remembered for his passion for improving the Kalamazoo region, his faithful friendships, his wisdom and wit, his commitment to family, and his pride with his wife Shari in the accomplishments of their two children. He loved time spent on the water, most recently at their place in South Haven, bird hunting throughout the U.S., time spent with his family, and any time that his friends gathered together. His time with all of us was too short, but he lived life fully and was well loved.

Dan is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shari; his children, Morgan Drew Schut of Detroit and Jacob Drew Schut of Ann Arbor; brother David (Suzanne) Schut of Farmington Hills; sister Suzy Schut of Burlington, NC; mother Evelyn Schut of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Al Schut.
