Our beloved son, grandson, father, fiancé, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Dalton Bryce Jessee, returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on January 27, 2022, at the age of 24, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Dalton was born in Morehead, Kentucky on September 10, 1997, to Kerry Michele Jessee and Marty Crose.

Dalton was a proud graduate of Maysville Community and Technical College and a highly skilled welder.

Dalton’s caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone he came into contact with. He had a special gift for not only seeing the good in others but bringing out the best in them as well. Dalton was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent most of his time hunting the woods of Eastern Kentucky and fishing Cave Run Lake. His love of the outdoors brought out the happy, carefree spirit that defined him.

His love for the outdoors could only be surpassed by his love for his family. Dalton was a proud and devoted father to two beautiful children, Natalie, 4, and Bryson, 2. Everyone who knew him could see how much he loved being a father and his children meant the world to him. Dalton also shared his love and life with his high school sweetheart and mother of his children, Virginia “Ginny” Whitt. The relationship he shared with his mother was like no other and they shared an unbreakable bond. Dalton was a wonderful brother and always made sure to spend quality time with his siblings. Dalton was selfless and always put others first. He was the best friend any person could hope for—the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. Dalton loved nothing more than to see his friends and family succeed and do well in life. He lived his life rooting on those he loved and was always ready with a kind word of encouragement. He liked to live his life embracing happiness and simplicity which is why more often than not he could be found cruising the lake in his boat enjoying the sun and breeze of a summer morning. He was an example to so many and a shining light to everyone who was lucky enough to know him. When you think of Dalton, celebrate the good memories that you have of him. Remember that life is fragile, short, and should be lived to the fullest. Focus on what is good in the world and in others as he always did. He will be missed more than any words could express but he will be forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Dalton was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents James and Dexter Stinson and Mary Jo Jessee and his maternal grandfather Louis Jessee and his half-sister, Abby Crose.

He is survived by his fiancée Virginia Whitt and two children Natalie and Bryson; his mother Kerry Michele Jessee; his father Marty Crose (Michelle); his paternal grandparents Garland and Marlene Crose; his maternal grandparents Teresa Kimbrell and Darryl Barker (Pam); two sisters Makenna Jessee and Egan Crose; and one brother Hunter Crose. He is also survived by many loving uncles and aunts, Jamey Jessee (Stormi), Brandon “Homer” Kimbrell (Amy), Kandis Rayburn (Jimmy), Jamie (Pam) Crose and Lora Crose, along with many adoring younger cousins.
