Dale L. Moe, age 85 of Midland, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living in Bay City. The son of the late William E. and Lucille (Irelan) Moe was born in Homer Township on February 21, 1931 where he was raised and educated. Dale served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed with Dow Corning, retiring in 1991 after 35 years of service. Dale resided in Prudenville since 1992 and had recently returned to Midland.

In his youth Dale raised horses on the family farm and as a teenager he enjoyed boxing as a Junior Welter Weight. He enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, working on cars, loved playing softball, watching baseball and going for rides on his pontoon. When his children were young he loved taking them water skiing and snowmobiling. Dale was always willing to help others, whether it was building houses or working on his grandparents or in law’s farms. On November 22, 1951 in St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church Dale married the former Ann M. Radosa and after 63 years of marriage she died on February 4, 2014.

Surviving is his son, Michael (Kristie) Moe of Bay City; daughters, Karen Moe of Midland, Kathleen Moe of Cloquet, MN; grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaitlyn and Nathan; great grandchildren, Kaser, Kainen and 2 on the way; siblings, Robert Moe of Midland, Shirley (Melvin) Rooker of Midland, Gary (Elfreida) Moe of Durman, Germany, Dorothy Quick of Mio, Diane Nelson of Clare; many nieces and nephews; special friend Ed Bielec. In addition to his parents and wife Dale was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry, Thomas, Richard “Dick”, Carl and Lawrence “Bill” Moe, sisters, Clara Mae Penney and Catherine Moe.
