Dale L. Apple (“Hooter”), 69, of McCordsville, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He was born March 1, 1948 in Indianapolis to the late Donald “Gene” and Bernice (Anderson) Apple.
He was a 1966 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. DeHaven as a gunner’s mate during the Vietnam War. Dale retired from Heat & Frost Insulators Local 18 in 1998 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fortville Christian Church, an avid golfer, and a longtime supporter of the “Make-A-Wish” Foundation.
He is survived by his daughter Courtney (Chris) Clardy of Indianapolis; grandchildren Madison and Drew Clardy; brother Dennis G. Apple and sister Shelley Hayse, both of McCordsville; and several nieces and nephews.
