Dale I. Miller, 85, of Williamsport, went to be with Lord, God and Savior after passing away at his home on Friday, February 4, 2011. He was the husband of Mary C. Miller with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.

Dale was the son of the late Lee A. and Miriam V. Probst Miller and was born on February 16, 1925 in Renovo.

Dale was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Heshbon Park United Methodist Church.

Dale worked at the former Avco as a machinist, he enjoyed driving tractor trailer for Hall’s Transport and Mushroom Transport. He worked as a mechanic for Tetley Tea and drove Flag Car for High Steel from which he retired from in 2009.

Dale was a volunteer Fire Police for the Nisbet Volunteer Fire Company until he became ill.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Sharon (John) Wilkinson of Cogan Station, Sandra L. (Russell) Reeder in LA, Jeanne (Don) Vittorio of Williamsport; sisters, Shirley Werner of Williamsport and Arla (Ken) Moyer of Canton; sons, William H. (Mary Lou) in AZ, William E. and Thomas M. (Gail) Mundell in FL; stepson, Frederick J. (Helen) Womer, Jr. of Hughesville; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Dale was predeceased by brothers, Norman Miller and Clair Miller; mother Miriam V. Miller and father, Lee A. Miller.
