Dale Edward Newcome, 82, of Tunnelton, WV, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Mon General Hospital.
Dale was born October 13, 1938, in Kingwood, a son of the late Harris B. and Florence (Sanders) Newcome.
He was a 1956 graduate of Kingwood High School, a member of the Boilermakers Local #667 in Winfield, WV for over 40 years. He enjoyed WVU and Steeler football, basketball, and oldies music. He was known in Preston County as “Baby Buckwheat. He was survived by one daughter, Teresa Layton of Kingwood; one grandson, Andrew Layton Donk of Kingwood; two brothers, John Newcome of PA, Mike Newcome of Cross Lanes; three sisters, Wyonetta Greaser of Tunnelton, Brenda Brewer of Fairmont; Cecilia McDonald of Kingwood; one brother-in-law, James Zuchowski, Sr. of Campground; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Ann (Zuchowski) Newcome; one brother, Ralph Newcome. Family and friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street; Sunday, January 31, 2021, from 2-6pm, and on Monday, February 1, 2021, from 12:00 p.m.
