Czeslaw Lis, 80, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022. He was born in Poland, son of the late Tadeusz and Marianna (Gadomska) Lis. He came to the United States in 1978 and worked 2-3 jobs to bring his family to America on December 20, 1980. Czeslaw was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. A passionate, hardworking man, he enjoyed providing for his family. He also enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and babysitting his grandchildren. A loving father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his two daughters: Bożena Samsel and her husband Eugeniusz of Farmington, CT and Anna DeFranco and her husband Anthony of Berlin, CT; his two grandsons: Anthony and Nathan DeFranco of Berlin, CT; his sister Zofia Jaksina and her family of Poland and many nieces and nephews of the US and Poland and his former wife Emila Lis. He was predeceased by his son Andrzej Lis, his sister and her husband, Aleksandra & Antoni Pianka and his brother-in-law, Czeslaw Jaksina.
