Cynthia Marie Bowser was born on the 28th day of August 1950, in Denver, CO, to Clarence T. Talley Sr. and Anna Lou Hill Talley. She was the 2nd of five children born to this union. She was raised surrounded by her two sister’s Deborah and Donna and her two brother’s Clarence Jr. and Robert. As a child, she was always willing to help if she was not reading or watching the sunset. Cynthia graduated from Manual High School in 1968. She furthered her education by attending Denver University. In 1976, Cynthia entered the work force starting at Blue Cross Blue Shield, as an Administrative Assistant. In 1980, she left Blue Cross Blue Shield and begin to work for Chrysler also as an Administrative Assistant. In 1988, she left Chrysler and began her career with the Denver Public Schools System. While there, she worked at several different schools starting at Montbello High School. In 1992, she chose to leave DPS and began working for Executive Career Consults as a Job Placement Specialist. In 1997, she chose to change career paths and began working for Mortenson Construction. It was during this time that she chose to start her own construction business by branching off and becoming a Consultant. The name she chose for her business was Talley Consulting, in which she operated until her passing. Cynthia was also active in many social and civic organizations. In 1977, she became a member of the Order of Eastern Stars. She followed that with the Daughter of Isis, Mountain and Plains Assembly #49 Order of the Golden Circle and The Heriones of Jericho. In 1986, she was appointed as Loyal Lady Ruler for the Mountain and Plains Assembly #49 Order of the Golden Circle. In 1980, she joined Syrian Court #40 and served as Honorary Past Commandress in 1998. She was the Deputy Imperial Directress for the Imperial Drill Team and Color Guard. She was also an active member of the Aurora Chapter of the NAACP and a member of the Masonic Bowling League. She has received numerous awards, honors, trophies, and medals.
