Cynthia B Jones, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 25, 2021 after a courageous 10-year battle with kidney failure.
Cindy was born on February 4, 1958 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Lloyd and Carol K. Bullock.
Cindy loved playing softball, volleyball and performing as a dancer in her teenage years. She graduated from Weber High School in 1976. She attended Weber State College. While attending the 24th of July Fireside in 1978, Cindy reconnected with her high school friend, Richard Jones. They were married on March 2, 1979 in The Ogden LDS Temple, by Richard’s grandpa, Keith Campbell.
Cindy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in many capacities including as Primary Chorister for over 30 years, as Primary President, in the Young Womens Presidency, in the Relief Society and as Stake Primary Music leader. One of her favorite moments was preparing her primary children to sing in General Conference and then watching them perform.
Cindy enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting. She made many baby blankets and burp cloths which were generously given to neighbors and family. Cindy had a big heart. She loved kids and was in her element with teenagers and became a second mom to many of her children’s friends. Above all Cindy was an amazing wife, mother and friend.
Cindy is survived by her sweetheart Richard, her children: Amy Jones, Matt (Megan) Jones, Brad (Sue) Jones, Chris (Rosie) Jones, Michelle (Braden) Wynn, and seven grandchildren, Scarlet, Tori, Silas, Mae, Trey, Cohen and Milo. She is also survived by her father Lloyd Bullock and sister Susan (Jared) Brandley. She is preceded in death by her mother Carol Kristofferson Bullock and her brother Brian Bullock.
The family would like to thank her home dialysis care team with Liberty Dialysis and her care team at Ogden Regional Hospital. We know she wasn’t the easiest patient, but the kindness shown to Cindy was truly appreciated by the family.
