Curtis Lee Ingram, 85, of 91 Magnolia Street, Ridgeway, VA died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville, VA. He was born on May 7, 1925 in Bassett, VA to the late Jerry Thomas “Tom” Ingram and Berta Bell Arnold Ingram. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, J. Frank Ingram. Mr. Ingram was of the Primitive Baptist faith and worked as credit manager for Gravely Furniture for 35 years before retiring in 1976. He graduated from Bassett High School and received a two year Degree in Business. Also, Mr. Ingram served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law, Ailene Rodgers of Bassett, VA and Carlene and Alvin Oakes of Martinsville, VA; sister-in-law, Jane Ingram Rayfield of Martinsville, VA; ten nieces and nephews; nineteen great-nieces and nephews and five great-great-nieces and nephews.
