Curtis A. “CUJO” Johnson, 67, of Loyalsock Township passed peacefully at home on Sunday, September 24, 2017 after battling ALS and FTD.

Born April 7, 1950, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Adam Rankin, Sr. and Joan (Johnson) Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Adam Rankin Johnson, Jr.

A 1969 graduate of Loyalsock Township High School, Curtis attended Ferrum College and graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1975 where he met his wife Barb of 41 years.

Curtis loved his community, athletics, and most of all, his family. He played collegiate football and baseball and coached softball for over 30 years. He was the President of the Loyalsock Booster Club for 18 years and was a fan and supporter of all Loyalsock athletics. Curtis was known for his pep talks and lived by his own motto PSD — Pride, Spirit, Dedication. He loved watching his daughters and granddaughters during their athletic events and was always their number 1 fan in everything they did.  

Surviving are his wife, Barbara C. (Contristan) Johnson whom he married August 1, 1976, daughters Julia French (Tim) of Williamsport and Leigh (fiance Matthew Kaczmarczyk) of Philadelphia, three granddaughters Rylie, Brynlie, and Aynslie French and a brother Joseph Johnson (Karla) of North Haledon, NJ.
