Curt Elmer Rice 64, lifelong resident passed away at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces on Monday December 7, 2015.
Curt was born October 21, 1951 in Deming to Dorothy Marie Green and Elmer Lee Rice. He enlisted in the U S Navy and served on the USS Lexington, the very same ship his father was commissioned on. He was a barber for over 25 years in Deming. He loved woodworking and spending time with family.
Survivors include his 2 sons, Curtiss Rice and companion Reina, Derrick Rice all of Deming, brother Wayne Cardell of California; 3 sisters, Lucille Wilton of Los Lunas, JoNell and husband Orville Wilson of Roswell and Barbara Rice of Deming and 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Eric, Nathan, Hope and Chanse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Dorothy Rice and sister, Dorothy “Pidge” Burd.
