Craig Daryl Schleman, age 46, a lifetime resident of Rensselaer, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, due to injuries sustained in a house fire. Craig was born on August 18, 1964, in Brook, Indiana. He attended Rensselaer schools, graduating with the class of 1982 from Rensselaer Central High School. For the past 15 years, Craig has been employed as a crew chief with Titan Construction. He had previously worked for 20 years at Beermart in Rensselaer.
Craig is survived by his loving family, companion Kelli Dulin; sons, Brandon (Amanda) Schleman, Rensselaer and Brent (Kegan) Schleman, Attica; four brothers, Charles (Paula) Schleman, Rensselaer, Cary Schleman, Indianapolis, Chris (Pam) Schleman, Rensselaer and Timothy (Brandy) Warran, Plainfield, IN; three stepsisters, Diane, Rose and Tina and several nieces and nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Carl “Buzz” Schleman, his mother, Patricia Warran and his stepfather, Chili Warran.
