Coy L. âChubâ Eudy passed away Aug 9, 2009, in the loving care of his wife, children and grandsons, at his home in Oakboro. Coy was born Feb. 8, 1939, in Stanly County, to the late Carrie Burleson Eudy and Charlie H. Eudy. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Loretta Everhart Eudy of Oakboro, a daughter Lisa Eudy Smith, and a son Shane L. Eudy, both of Albemarle. He is also survived by three grandsons, Clint Smith, Austin Eudy and Dillon Eudy. His loving dog and constant companion, Rocky, preceded him in death in 2006.
