Corrinne E. Rock, 84, of Galien, Michigan died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. Corrinne was born March 6, 1928 in Galien to John and Nora (Letts) Welsh. She graduated from Galien High School in 1946 and married Harry F. Rock on June 6, 1948. She was the elementary school librarian in Galien for 26 ½ years. Corrinne was a member of the Galien Library Board.
Her fascination with history and love of her community suited her well for her involvement with the Galien Historical Society where she was a Past President, and with her work identifying and mapping out the Galien Cemetery, as well as with her genealogy research. She enjoyed cross stitch and met with her quilting group twice a month at the Library. She liked visiting lighthouses. Corrinne’s greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Harry; daughter Deborah (Frank) Grenard of Chicago, son David (Laura) Rock of Washington, Michigan; grandchildren Joshua, Christopher, Megan, Nathan, Gregory and Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Gary Wayne Rock in 1955.
