Cornelia “Tykie” Marie Brenton, 42, of Terre Haute, passed away on October 10, 2016 surrounded by her family. Cornelia was born January 26, 1974 in Terre Haute to James Elkins and June McFarland Elkins. Cornelia was a full time wife, mother and homemaker. She was a sports mom and never missed one of her boy’s games. She will be remembered as an amazing person and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Hogue and a grandson Brady Wright. She is survived by her husband, Scott Brenton whom she married October 20, 2000. She is survived by seven sons; Steven Wright and his wife Breeanna of Terre Haute, Dillon Jackson and his fiancé Bridgett Daughtery of Syracuse NY., Scott Brenton Jr. of Terre Haute, Tyler Brenton of Terre Haute, Jacob Peak of Terre Haute, Jerad Brenton and his girlfriend Heather of Terre Haute and Joshua Brenton also of Terre Haute. She is survived by one brother, Darren Elkins and his girlfriend Pam Coston of Terre Haute. She is survived by sisters; Cindy Montgomery, Debbie Baker, June Theize, Mary Hogue and Sandy Rogers and her husband David, all of Terre Haute. She is survived by grandchildren; Iziah Jackson, Braxton Brenton, Bentelee Wright and Brilynn Little as well as several nieces, nephews and aunts and uncles.
