Corinne M. Wroblewski, 86, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2006, in St. Paul’s Retirement Community.
Corinne was born on May 25, 1919, in Grass Creek, IN to the late Patrick and Mary Walsh. On August 30, 1941, as Corinne M. Walsh, she married Joseph Wroblewski, in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, South Bend. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Kline and three brothers, John Walsh, Ned Walsh and Alan Walsh.
Mrs. Wroblewski is survived by her two daughters, Judy (Ken) Kobb and Shirley (Chuck) Davidson, both of South Bend; her son William (Carol) Wroblewski of Bluffton, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Mindy (Andrew) Myers, Bradley Wroblewski, Jennifer (Paul) Ford, Deborah (Aaron) Cyrier, Suzanne Kobb, Michael Davidson and Geoffrey Davidson; and by three great-grandchildren, Taylor Rixie, Braelyn Troup and Jacob Ford.
Corinne began her working career for the Portage Township Assessor. In 1958, she began her employment with South Bend School Corporation as a school secretary. Then in 1971, she became the Democratic board member in the voter registration office, until her retirement in 1982. She was a parishioner of the Cathedral of Saint Matthew and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and remained very active in the local Democratic political party.
