Together Again

Cordelia (Cordy) Trujillo, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and beloved aunt, peacefully passed away at her home, Sunday July 10, 2016, surrounded by her family. Mom was born June 25, 1928, in McPhee, Colorado, the daughter of Vicente and Enomia Martinez. She is joining our loving dad, Florentino Trujillo, whom she married June 30, 1947, in Park View, New Mexico.
Mom and Dad moved to Ogden, Utah in 1950. Mom was briefly employed at Hill Air Force Base and left to care for and raise her family. She enjoyed volunteering her time within the community. Mom was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Mom loved having her family around her. She also liked it when we all left. Mom loved her trips to Wendover, playing Bingo, and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved camping and having a relaxing margarita or Corona-rita with anyone who would join her. After dad’s passing, she created a close bond with Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory and always loved her Golden Girls.
Mom had a special bond with each of her grandchildren. She never had enough time for all of the grandchildren but she spent enough time with everyone one of us always.
Our mom is survived by her six loving children: Gloria (Nelson) Rendon, Ann Marie Trujillo Price, Princess (Dave) Bonczkiewicz, Pamela Trujillo, Mario Trujillo and Cris (Dreman) Trujillo; a loving niece, Olivia Baca, who was reared by our parents; her treasured nephews, Armando Ulibarri, Gilbert and Leroy Martinez; niece, Dolly Archuleta; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Florentino; four brothers and one sister; and recently, a special niece, Marcella Ulibarri.
The family would like to thank Brio Hospice, specifically, Kathy, Mindi, Chelsea, Juliann, and Tanya for their loving care and compassion during the last weeks of mom’s life. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jess & Kathy Wallace and their family for the laughter, love and concern that you gave our mom.
