Corbin “Buddy” Harris, 77, Huntington, IN died at 9:34 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Corbin Harris was born on November 30, 1930 in Pikeville, KY to Grant and Sarah Hall Harris. His parents preceded him in death. He married Janice Ivalene “Jan” Vance on October 27, 1953 in Knott County, KY. Buddy was a forklift driver for United Tech.
He is a member of The Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church, both of Andrews, IN. Survivors include: his wife, one son: Doug Harris and his wife Vicki, Andrews IN; two daughters: Teresa Hughes and husband Tim, Markle, IN and Donna Bowers and husband Randy, Huntington, IN; brothers: Hairl Harris and wife Opal, Winchester, KY, Alton Harris and wife Jean, Huntington, Tom Harris and wife Barbara, Huntington; and sisters: Marie Johnson and husband Onsby, Andrews, Gearl Hall and husband Orbin, Huntington, Pat Blair and husband Rolla, Huntington, Ethel Mygrant and husband Larry, Huntington, and Irene Slone and husband Keith, Huntington; six Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Carl Harris and Robert Harris; and three Grandchildren.
