Cora Elizabeth “Betty” Young, 88, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Monroe Hospital. Born October 16, 1923, she was the daughter of Albert and Beada (Evans) Patton. Betty was a secretary at R.C.A. for 33 years.

She was a member of the Cincinnati Christian Church, she loved her church and enjoyed taking trips with the HEARTS group. Years ago she and her husband Ralph traveled the world and attended many Indiana University sporting events.

Betty enjoyed fishing with her brother Wayne and she was “Aunt Bee” to her several nieces and nephews. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Ralph Young of Solsberry, one daughter, Shirley Gibson (Ron) of Bloomington, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, two sisters, Alberta Sparks and Dorothy Quimby (Harold) all of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Douthitt, Wayne “Kid” Young, her parents and a brother, Wayne Patton.
