Cora Tennessee McBride, age 106, moved to her heavenly home Friday, June 3, 2016. She was born August 27, 1909 in Norman, Arkansas to Harrison and Elizabeth Petty, and married Francis McBride June 30, 1929. They lived in Norman, Arkansas and in Nashoba, Oklahoma before moving to Texas. She was a resident of Dallas, Texas for over 70 years, and Irving, Texas the last 3 years. Cora was a member of Heritage Pentecostal Church of God, formerly First Pentecostal Church of God in Irving for over 55 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis McBride, her parents and siblings, a son Jackie Ray McBride, a daughter Helen Cooper, a grandson Jackie Ray Torti, and granddaughter Breanca McBride. She is survived by daughter, Mary Logan of Irving; daughter Virginia Huckaba of Irving; son, Freddie McBride of Grapevine, son Jimmie McBride of Dallas; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
