Cora Mae Lockhart, 80, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017, in Franklin. She was born on September 19, 1936, in Cando, North Dakota, to her parents Verne and Millie (Strechen) Lockhart, where she spent most of her youth.
She was an RN and worked at the Bloomington Convalescent Center. Cora studied at Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis and eventually moved to Franklin. She enjoyed reading, especially of an educational nature, and caring for people. Cora loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Cora is survived by her sisters, Jeannette Lockhart of Ellettsville, Verna (Tom) Vint of Fort Wayne, and Sandra Smith of Franklin; three nephews Jerry Brinegar, Gregory Lockhart, and Steven Smith and one niece, Jennifer Byrley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
