Music was a very big part of all the children’s lives and Connie went on to play the saxophone and the piano. After graduating from Nashville High School, she attended Western Michigan University as a music major and went on to get both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education.

Connie was a passionate educator for over 40 years. She spent her 33-year teaching career at Portage Public Schools, primarily teaching computers and keyboarding at Portage Northern and then at KVCC for the next 10 years. After retiring from teaching, she seamlessly moved into the role of grandma to her three granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Arloa, and brother, Steven.

She is survived by her husband Clancy, sons Sean (Mary Jane) and granddaughter Mila; Matt (Emily) and granddaughters Kenley and Isla; brothers David (Nancy) and Rod (Beth).
