Connie (Day) Swindell, age 64, passed away, too soon, from heart failure on January 28th at her home in Salt Lake City.
Born in Cascade, ID, on January 1, 1952, she was the daughter of Rex and Barbara (Knapton) Day. She attended Mountain Home High School, where she was a cheerleader, Homecoming Queen, and always on the cutting edge of fashion. After graduating, she married David Swindell (deceased, 2011), owned and operated her in-house daycare, and raised her two young daughters.
Early on, Connie was instilled with a love for adventure. She enjoyed new and familiar places. The Idaho Mountains, Yellowstone, Park City, and Hawaii were among her favorite travel spots.
Connie was tender, caring, and giving; she did not have a selfish bone in her body—never turning away anyone in need. She loved a good laugh and always encouraged her girls and grandsons to be a little goofy. She was brave and hopeful, and never doubted God’s love for her.
She adored her family and is survived by her parents, Rex and Barbara Day; her daughters, Kelli (Brian) Grunerud, and Brandi Swindell; her sister, Chris (Rob) Patrick; her grandsons, Alex, and Jaxon; and her Swindell family, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The last 14 years Connie lived in Salt Lake City near her oldest daughter.
