Connie Riles, 58, of Dakota City, passed away Thursday December 17, 2015 surrounded by her family at Unity Point Health Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Connie Riles, daughter of Robert and Lois (Waterbury) Riles, was born on August 11, 1957 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
She attended Humboldt Schools and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1976. She worked at W&H Coop as a Clerk until her retirement in 2001. Connie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Humboldt Lion’s Club. She was privileged to have traveled on behalf of the Lion’s to Norway where she gave speeches about the handicapped. Connie always stated “I may be crippled but NOT handicapped.” Connie considered “almost” everyone she met as a friend.
She loved her family and her sense of humor will be forever missed. Left to cherish Connie’s memory are her brothers: Robert Riles Jr. of Ames, Mike Riles of Gilmore City, Terry Riles of Manson and Jeff Riles of Livermore; 6 nieces and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister Nancy and niece Khristina Riles. The family would like to thank you for your many acts of kindness and expressions of sympathy.
