Connie Ray Robertson was born on Valentine’s Day, 1925, in Hall County in the Texas Panhandle. During WW II, after high school, he enlisted in the US Coast Guard and served from Nov. 1942 until Dec. 1945. Part of his time was spent stationed on a patrol frigate in the North Atlantic. One day while in New Orleans, he met a pretty young WAVE by the name of Charlotte Carrington. On July 28, 1945, they began what would become almost 69 years of marriage.

Connie had a long and successful career with Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring as manager of the Fort Worth office. He also attained the rank of 32nd Degree Mason. He loved Boston Terriers and John Deere tractors. He also loved East Texas, where he and Charlotte spent their retirement years on their beautiful property near Quitman.

Connie passed away peacefully on June 25, 2014. In addition to his wife Charlotte, he is survived by his son Glenn and wife Vicki, his granddaughter Rebecca Roberts and husband Patrick, and his grandson Daniel Robertson and wife Amy.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Appletree Court Assisted Living, Emeritus @ Collin Oaks Assisted Living, and Grace Hospice for giving Connie excellent care during his final months. We also appreciate all the expressions of love each of our friends and family have shown.
