Constance “Connie” L. Johnson, age 66, of Laurens, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at her home in Laurens. She was born on April 12, 1946, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Ralph and Helen (Prentice) Virgil. Connie graduated from Laurens High School in 1964, and New Mexico State University in 1992. She was united in marriage to Joe Johnson on January 3, 1970, in Laurens. Connie worked for Food Pride in Laurens for sixteen years. She enjoyed spending her spare time fishing and target shooting. Connie is survived by her husband, Joe Johnson of Laurens; her sister, Karen Valentine of Spirit Lake; and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Richard Valentine.
