Concetta Petito, 91, of Fountain Hill, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008, at VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s in Lower Saucon Twp. She was the wife of the late George Petito who passed away in 2001. Born in Osara di Puglia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Julio and Rachel (Martino) Schiavone. Concetta was a homemaker who was an accomplished cook and seamstress. She was a former life long member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Bethlehem, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her son Dr. George D. Petito of Saucon Valley; daughter Rosemarie Hare of Bethlehem; brother Anthony Schiavone and his wife Eleanor of Center Valley; sister-in-laws Ethel Schiavone of Bethlehem and Mary Ann Petito of Allentown; Grandchildren Anita M. Petito, Dr. Jeffrey Hare, Michael Hare and four great-grandchildren. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
