Colon Gilberto Vaca, 78, resided in Sunrise & Parkland, FL. He passed April 26, 2021. Born July 6, 1942 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He was employed at Hose McCann for 33 years, where he brought all the Vaca family to work.
Colon was a devoted family man & dog lover. He enjoyed sitting in the backyard listening to birds & feeding the dogs. He loved going to restaurants & traveling to Ecuador & Rivera Maya, Mexico. He was a man of Catholic faith & well versed in religion. Colon was warm-hearted & calm-natured. He was kind, giving & generous. At times, stubborn & strong-willed like his daughter. We will miss his snacking at night to get coffee & bread in the kitchen. He was extremely patient and waited for hours in the car for his daughter & wife when they went shopping, He was a doting grandfather & enjoyed driving them to school, sports and practice.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha, daughter Sylvia, son John, grandkids; Celine, Jonathan, Ariela, Aaron, & his dogs Max, Tiffany, & Mr. Odie. Colon’s presence will be missed by his family. However, the family is consoled as he is no longer in pain, resting at peace with god, his parents – Miguel & Maura, his siblings; Luis, Felipe, Miguel, Pedro & Galdis in heaven. He will always remain in our hearts.
