Colleen “Polly” V. Gray, 88, passed away September 30, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones, in her daughter’s home.

She was born September 15, 1930 to William N. and Helen Demond Letts in North East, MD. Polly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd Rivers Gray.

In 1992, she retired as a Social Services Case Manager and served on the Board of Social Services. An avid traveler, she was a member of the Democrat League, a voluntary judge for the Election Board, and taught Red Cross classes. Once voted Cecil County’s Most Beautiful Person, she also was a member and volunteer at St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church, and served as president of the Women’s Lion Club.

She is survived in death by daughters: Stacey Gray Pepe, Alice Gray, and her companion, Shelby. Predeceased by one granddaughter, Polly leaves behind three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces.

Mrs. Gray, the youngest of 10 children, is survived by one brother: Howard Letts, of Rockport, TX. She was preceded in death by sisters Roberta J. Grafton and Beatrice E. Simpson; and by brothers Harold, Emmett, Albert, Ralph, David, and Harry.
