Colleen M. Chafe, age 87 years, of Ellisville (Plymouth) passed away peacefully Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. Her loved ones were by her side; she was surrounded by her devoted husband and children. Colleen was the loving wife of Eugene L. Chafe, and the daughter of the late Philip P. and Anne (Keating) Baird. Born in Greenwich, CT on March 4, 1932, she was a seamstress and taught sewing and cooking. She formerly worked with New England Telephone Company. Colleen along with her husband Gene, enjoyed extensive travel and arts & crafts of every type. She would often be seen at craft fairs where they would display all of their crafts. She was a Brownie Leader, involved with the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion. Colleen was a ray of sunshine and touched many lives.Along side her husband Eugene of 45 plus years, she is survived by her children, Patrick J. Chafe of Hyannis, Kelly A. Sanford and her husband Hayden of Wareham, Tracy Sullivan and her husband Marty of Sagamore Beach, Lisa Caswell and her husband Robert of Canton, NC, Tracy Lynn Russell of Florida and Leah Carpio of Fresno, CA. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Colleen Sullivan, Sean Sullivan and his wife Ina, Timothy Chafe and Leslie Marra, Kristin McHugh and her husband Jay, Hannah Ghazal, Jason and Nathan Pereira, Christopher and wife Michelle Saafe, Brittany Ferro and her wife Beth, Daniel and wife Allison Caswell, Jeremy and wife Jen Caswell, Paul, Joshua, and Nathaniel Caprio, and her beloved dog Rocky. She was the sister of the late Mildred Wyman, Gordan, Phillip and Robert Baird.
