POTTER, Mrs. Colleen D. Lawrence, MI. Died Wednesday morning, May 2, 2012. Colleen was born February 15, 1952 in Ticonderoga, New York, a daughter of Ralph and Leona Williams Potter. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 10 years and was a self-employed yoga instructor, specialist in Thai Yoga bodywork, and physical therapist assistant.
She held a graduate certificate in Holistic Health Care from Western Michigan University. Colleen was a member of the National Association of Professional Women, Kripalu Yoga Teacher’s Association, the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and founder/owner of 1000 Cranes Yoga. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert E. Burton. Colleen is survived by a son, Richard Nathalie LaBarr of Montclair, NJ; 2 sisters, Joan Lester Daby of Port Henry, NY and Cheryl Dr. John Adams of Indian Trail, NC; a brother, Norman Crawford of Keeseville, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
