Colette Mary Bryant 86, of Lafayette, IN passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 26, 2021.
She was born on 9-14-35 in Chicago, IL to the late Michael C. and Elsie Christ Stirn. On 4-3-1954 Colette married Robert E. Bryant who proceeded her in death on 8-5-1973.
Colette attended St. Boniface Elementary school and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1953. She also attended Ivy Tech College. Colette was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for 62 years.
She was a secretary at Vaughn & Vaughn law firm and later the Claims Manager at MBAH Insurance retiring from there after 32 years.
Colette was a former member of both the Lafayette and Sagamore Business & Professional Women’s Associations where she held the office of Recording Secretary for both clubs. For several years Colette was also a volunteer at Matrix, Share Food, and St. Lawrence Parish Ministry.
Colette was proceeded in death by her parents, brother John F. Stirn, and sister Ruth M. (Warren) Ashby.
Colette is survived by daughter Jeanne M. (Timothy) Stewart, son James R. (Elizabeth) Bryant, and daughter Janet I. (Matthew) Oliver. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher Shoemaker, Megan (Joseph) Rady, Robert (Meredith) Bryant, David (Katie Goggin) Bryant, Jessica (Carey Rist) Bryant, Sierra (Joshua) Bohr, and Lauren Moorehead. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
