Col. R. A. “Al” Seymour, 85, of Sharpsburg, GA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
He served in the USMC for 32 years, was a P.O.W. during the Korean War, and served two tours during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1983. His motto was “Once a Marine, always a Marine.” He attended Grace Community Church in Sharpsburg, GA. He served as State Director of Child Evangelism Fellowship Ministry for seven years (Good News Clubs). His wife Suzanne still serves as a teacher, and trainer, whom he supported in her ministry. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Suzanne. Also by his daughter, Debra Folsom of Kathleen, GA, and her husband, Butch, 7 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two children, Scott and JoAnne.
