She moved from town-to-town when she was a child; attending 13 different schools in one year. She met her husband, Howard Mann, in the seventh grade when she and her family moved to Canon City. They were married August 20, 1947. They had three children: Jim (Tammy) Mann, John (Nancy) Mann, Dr. Jody (Ed) Pendleton.
