Cody Lee Steffens, 24 years young, passed away on November 24th, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth A Shelleda, and Sister, Kim M Steffens, and many others.

It’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who has been a part of our lives. When that person is gone, there’s a huge hole where he used to be in your heart and in your life. That’s what many of us are feeling today.

Cody had a beautiful life. He was a kind and caring soul who made a great impact on so many people’s lives in the short period of time he had with us.

Some of you knew Cody better than others, but you are here because he had an impact on your life, and you want to honor that. And because he did affect you in some way; it’s not going to be easy to say goodbye.

Cody was born on July 5th, 1997, in Stuttgart, Germany. He was the youngest child of Elizabeth A. Shelleda and Frank G. Steffens. Cody lived in Stuttgart until the spring of 2003, which is when he moved to Denver, Colorado with his mother and sister.

Cody attended Sagebrush Elementary School, Laredo Middle School, Grandview High School in Aurora, CO.

Cody worked many years in warehouses operating a forklift as well as going to Pickens for Automotive Tech.

Cody was very passionate about being outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, going on road trips, camping and RC’ing with his friends. Cody was known for always helping a friend in need and putting others first.

Cody was a remarkably ambitious person. He was a person who, some might say, was a “go-getter”. He set goals for himself and stayed focused on achieving them, no matter the obstacles that were in the way.

Above all, Cody believed in LOVE. LOVE for his family, LOVE for his friends, and LOVE for the those who helped him share memorable moments in every aspect of his life. Cody LOVED each and every one of us.
