Clyde “Rook” H. Huntley, 82, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI in Providence, RI. He was born in Gueydan, Lousiana on July 29, 1933, to the union of Clement and Sally (Levine) Huntley. He was the husband of Shirley (Woods) Huntley.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, 2 daughters, Sharon “Gay” and Tracy Huntley, 8 grandchildren, Darnell and Gevon Nash, Brandon Gomes, Kayla, Douglas, Treyvon, Alize and Nashana Huntley, 10 great grandchildren, 3 siblings, Irma Crader (of Louisiana), Francis Bossier (of California), and Earl Huntley (of Ohio) as well as a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Clyde was preceded in death by both his parents, 2 sons Dale and Darren Huntley, 5 siblings Andrew, Edward and Louis Huntley, Fleta Crader and Hilda (Mutsy) Woods.
Clyde was a Korean War Veteran serving honorably in the US Army. He was employed at Millard Wire and Federal Products for many years. Clyde loved to play dominoes and Pitty Pat.
He will be missed by many.
