Clyde Ramsey, 86, Beatrice, NE died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice. He was born on November 2, 1931 at Diller, NE and moved to Beatrice as a youngster where he attended Beatrice Public Schools. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and after his discharge he worked for the Beatrice Police Dept. for seven years. He lived in California for a short time and returned to Nebraska where he was a heavy equipment operator for Stewart Construction, Babe Tyson Construction, Hawkins Construction and Peter Kiewit Construction. Clyde then worked for Operating Engineers in Omaha, retiring in 1991.  He is a member of Westside Baptist Church and a former member of Christ Community Church. Clyde is also a member of the American Legion Post #346 of Liberty, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1077 of Beatrice, and a past member of the Eagles Aerie Post #531 of Beatrice. He enjoyed deer hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Maude of Beatrice; one son, Russell Whitmore and wife Donata of Pickrell, NE; two daughters, Nina McClellan and husband Mark of Marysville, KS, and Amy Earnhart and husband Jim of Plymouth, NE; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Robert Pangborn, Jr. and wife Kathy Clark and Micheal Pangborn all of Beatrice; step-son-in-law, Roy Shinn of Alliance, NE; seven step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Linda Ramsey of Cortland and Joann Ramsey of Wilber, NE; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Homer C. and Elizabeth C. (Brandt) Ramsey; his first wife, Beverly; step-daughter; step-daughter-in-law; 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
