Clyde “Fred” Frederick Robinson, 84 of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014. Fred was born on December 18, 1929 in Bloomington, Indiana to Leland Clyde and Dolly (Weddle) Robinson. Clyde was a 1948 graduate of Bloomington High School, Bloomington, Indiana. He was a 1959 graduate of Purdue University majoring in Agriculture. Fred was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Olive Chapel Church and the American Legion Post 297. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Upon graduation from Purdue University, he and his family moved to New Carlisle, where he has resided for the last 54 years. Fred was employed as a High School Agriculture Teacher, later substitute teaching, at New Prairie High School for a combined total of 18 years. He also was employed as a MetLife Insurance Agent, retiring in 1989. In addition to his teaching and life insurance careers, Fred enjoyed spending his summers gardening.
