Clyde Eric Kunce, 96, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2023 with his family by his side. A Cuyahoga Falls resident, Clyde was born on May 8, 1926.
He served in both the U.S. Army, 7th Cavalry Regiment (“Garryowen”) in the land Battle of Luzon as part of the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II, and the U.S. Navy aboard the USS New Jersey (BB-62) during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Esther of 57 years on June 6, 2013, as well as his brother, Jack, and sister, Joan. He is survived by his sons, David (Cindy), Michael, and Paul, and five grandchildren, Nate (Megan), Nick (Carmen), Elizabeth, Emma, and Audrey.
