Clovadell Cozad, 96, of Clarence, MO formerly of the Moberly area passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Samaritan Hospital, Macon, Missouri. She was born July 8, 1924 in Moberly, MO, the daughter of Benjamin and Lillie (Moore) Bradley.

On January 18, 1941, she was united in marriage to Olen Milton Cozad who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter Ardyth Gayle Barton, three brothers, one sister and two great-great-grandchildren.

Clovadell is survived by three children, Kathy Sistek and husband Lou of Longview, TX, Michael Cozad and wife Susan of Faber, VA, and Stephen Cozad and wife Dixie of San Angelo, TX; eight grandchildren; Randy Barton and wife Diane of Clarence, MO, Karen Barbey and husband Sonny of Clarence, MO, Barry Barton and wife Candace of Moberly, MO, Stephanie McIntyre and husband Chris of Longview, TX, Christina Byslma of Longview, TX, Jeremy Cozad of Fairbanks, AK, Molly Ewers and husband Jessie of Louisa, VA and Nathan Cozad and wife Amber of Fort Worth, TX; thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Clovadell was a member of the Macon church of Christ.  She worked for twenty years at the McGraw Edison factory in Macon, MO.

She read her Bible fervently and took notes of every gospel sermon she ever heard.  Grandma “Tobe,” as her grandchildren called her, was an avid Scrabble player.  Clovadell was well known for her talent as an artist.  Her oil paintings hang in many of the family’s homes as well as those that were commissioned by others through advertising in national magazines. A chalk drawing of the signing of the Declaration of Independence that she produced for our nation’s bicentennial celebration in 1976 currently hangs in the Moberly City Hall.

Clovadell loved and enjoyed her family and friends.  Her home was always open to them.
