Details: Clinton E. Gosnell, 67, an 8 year resident of Baltimore and formerly of Ellicott City died on September 5, 2015 at University of Maryland Medical Center. He was born on January 21, 1948 in Baltimore, MD to the late Clinton and Eileen Gosnell. Mr. Gosnell was raised in Pasadena, MD and graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1966 where he played football and lacrosse. He went on to play lacrosse for Anne Arundel Community College and Towson University graduating in 1971 with a degree in physical education. Mr. Gosnell taught physical education at various Anne Arundel County Public School over his 30 year career retiring from Arundel High School. He coached girls basketball, indoor track, Arundel varsity field hockey for 12 years, and mens lacrosse from 1977 until 2008. Coach Gosnell lead the Arundel Wildcats in 296 victories as well as several championships. He was also a counselor at the University of Maryland lacrosse camp and an assistant coach at the Wroxter School and Severna Park High School. Mr. Gosnell received the Bilderback Award in 2007 and was nominated to the Maryland State Lacrosse Coaches’ Assoc. Hall of Fame in 2012. He was a member of Retired Teachers Association. His hobbies included gardening, traveling and genealogy. He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan. Mr. Gosnell is survived by his devoted partner of many years, Teresa Moir, his brother Christopher D. Gosnell and his wife Phyllis of Advance, NC, his sister Donna L. Clark and her husband James of Westminster, and his beloved dog Frankie.
