Troy – Clifford Raymond, 84,  passed away on January 11, 2018 surrounded by his family in spirit and with love, after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson Disease.

Cliff is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 wonderful years, Marie Deschaine Raymond. He is also survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter, Don, Carl (Lisa), Tom (Leann) and Penny (Rex); 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and 1 sister; and  many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 infant sister and 2 brothers.

Cliff grew up in Northern Maine and started working as a lumberjack at age 12, he was also a truck driver hauling pulp wood.

After Cliff and Marie got married, they moved to Troy and Cliff started a new career as a drywall installer, where he worked for 35 years for Daigle Drywall, Colonie.

Cliff was an officer for South Troy Little League and Babe Ruth League, where he also managed and coached many young boys, including his own 3 boys.

He was also a great old time fiddler, a member of Fiddler Tour, Champlain Valley Fiddler and Adirondack Fiddler and also a member of the Country Round and Square Dance Association.

He was a member of the Troy YMCA, where he met many people with Parkinson Disease and where he peddled for Parkinson 3 days a week.

Relatives and friends may call at the St. Michael the Archangel Church  175 Williams Road Troy on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 4 – 7 PM.
